02 Days / 01 Night Safari

A most spectacular game haunt, Ngorongoro Crater is acollapsed volcano with prides of lions and other predators such as hyenas and golden jackals as well as prolific plains game, elephants and rhinos. Lake Magadi in the Crater is home to flamingoes and water birds. The descent into the Crater floor is exhilarating and breathtaking via a steep, narrow and cliff-lined track – access is only in 4 wheel drive vehicles. The Crater is in a conservation area for preservation the region’s natural wildlife resources and interests of the local indigenous Masaai pastrolists.

Day 01: ARUSHA - NGORONGORO CRATER
Picked up from a centrally-located Arusha hotel at 14.00hrs and commence safari driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.  Dinner and overnight at NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE / NGORONGORO SERENA LODGE / NGORONGORO WILDLIFE LODGE / GIBBS FARM.
 

Day 02: NGORONGORO CRATER - ARUSHA
After breakfast, descend 2,000 ft (600 metres) down the Ngorongoro Crater Rim to the crater floor for a half day of game viewing.  Return to the Lodge for lunch.  Thereafter depart for Arusha & dropped off at a Hotel (use of room will be at an extra cost).
