Serengeti

Kusini Camp
Perfectly sited in a cluster of kopjes, Kusini is a permanent tented camp located in predator-rich plains of the northern Serengeti, close to the path of the most spectacular natural phenomenon on earth - the wildebeest migration. Kusini features 12 en-suite tents, with wooden elevated terraces overlooking the plains. There is an intimate dinning / lounge tent, where gourmet meals are served, and with small library and verandah. Bush meals or sundowner cocktails among the kopje boulders are provided while spotting plains game from the Camp’s open 4 x 4 vehicles. You get to enjoy cultural experience in the adjacent Maasai village. During the migration, hordes of wildebeest amass around the camp for the birthing of their young. The migration comes with its own retinue, and the predators - lion, leopard and cheetah – plus countless zebra, gazelle and other plains game. The exclusive and remote region of the Serengeti, where the camp is located, affording guests the rare opportunity for secluded game drives. Kusini's expert guides enhance your stay by sharing their knowledge and experience gleaned during a lifetime in the bush.

Sayari Camp
Sayari is Swahili for universe or planet, capturing the vast plains and endless skies of northern Serengeti where the camp is located. The 8 spacious guest tents blend perfectly into the majestic landscape. Each tent is beautifully designed with original and traditional cloth and furniture and has a king-size bed, en-suite bathroom and a private veranda with a comfortable couch, overlooking the Serengeti. The camp's naturalist guides offer a wealth of knowledge on the land and its inhabitants. The remote, vast lands of the northern Serengeti offer undisturbed wildlife watching including Mara River crossings, off-road driving and endless landscapes overflowing with animals. A bush breakfast observing thousands of migrating wildebeest and zebra is a majestic and most memorable experience. Reading, dreaming, drawing, painting, writing and simply contemplating are just some of the activities that Sayari Camp invites you to partake in when in camp.

Grumeti River Camp
Grumeti River Camp is situated in a remote valley in the western corridor of Serengeti National Park, 50 kilometres east of Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake. Flanked by two hillsides, the camp overlooks a by-water of the Grumeti River and offers a comfortable haven from which to experience the truly wild pulse of Africa. Grumeti’s 10 spacious tents under makuti (palm frond) canopies and the vibrancy of colourful interiors - including hand-blown Kenyan glassware, African cloth and local sculptured furnishings - bring alive the excitement of Africa. Each tented suite features a large bed made of Tanzanian cypress. En suite bathrooms offer separate w.c.s and alfresco showers open to the sun and stars. Every year during Africa’s annual Great Migration, hundreds of thousands of wildebeest, zebra and other herbivores cross the River, risking the jaws of some of the largest crocodiles on earth. Large pods of hippo grunt from their watery hideaway below the camp and black-and-white Colobus monkeys live in Grumeti’s bird-filled riverine trees. At night, nocturnal orchestra of owls and bush babies is punctuated by primeval sounds of lion and hyena. Explore the Serengeti savanna and woodlands on interpretive game-drives and enjoy excellent birdwatching in and around the camp. Optional excursions to Lake Victoria – Africa’s largest lake – can also be arranged.
