07 Days / 06 Nights Safari

This is a sedate safari to four of Kenya’s premier game viewing areas – Lake Nakuru an ornithologist and game viewing paradise - Aberdares/Mount Kenya – volcanic mountains teeming with forest animals and birds, Sweetwaters/Ol Pejeta – a private sanctuary with amazing array of animals and birds, including a chimpanzee orphanage – and to crown it all, the Maasai Mara, arguably the best game viewing spot in the world - and one of the seven wonders of the new world. The birds-eye view of the mountains, the rift valley and Maasai Mara, accorded by the flights (weather permitting) is legendary.

Day 01: NAIROBI – DRIVE TO LAKE NAKURU
Met on arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport, from an early morning flight. Drive west, into the Rift Valley, to Lake Nakuru National Park (3 hours), arriving in time for lunch at a Lodge/camp. Bird watching and game viewing drive in the afternoon. Overnight at a Lodge/Camp.

Day 02: LAKE NAKURU – ABERDARES / MOUNT KENYA
Dawn game drive prior to breakfast. Morning drive northeast, past Nyahururu’s Thompson falls to Central Kenya, for an overnight at a treehotel in a forest (3 hours). All the 03 treehotels, Ark and Treetops (in Aberdares Park) and Mountain Serena Lodge (in Mount Kenya Park) overlook a water hole and saltlick, offering unique game viewing from the Lodge decks.

Day 03: ABERDARES / MOUNT KENYA - SWEETWATERS / OL PEJETA
After breakfast, continue journey further north crossing the equator and into Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary in the Ol Pejeta Ranch (1 hour). Afternoon game drive in the Sanctuary. Lunch, dinner and overnight at a Camp or Ranch House.

Day 04: SWEETWATERS / OL PEJETA
Morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at a Camp or Ranch House.

Day 05: SWEETWATERS / OL PEJETA – FLY MAASAI MARA
After breakfast transferred to Nanyuki airstrip for scheduled flight to Maasai Mara National Reserve. On arrival at the local Airstrip, met and transferred to Lodge/Camp for lunch. Afternoon game drive in Camp/Lodge-based vehicle (window-seat guaranteed). Dinner and overnight at Lodge or Camp.

Day 06: MAASAI MARA
Morning and afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at Lodge or Camp.

Day 07: MAASAI MARA – FLY NAIROBI
Early morning game drive. After breakfast transferred back to the airstrip for scheduled return flight to Nairobi. On arrival at Wilson Airport, met and transferred to your Nairobi hotel (lunch and/or use of room is at an additional cost). Later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta Airport for departure flight, at least 03 hours prior to flight time. Alternatively, should you wish to extend your stay in East Africa, you may continue by flight to any of our warm Indian Ocean beaches to sample excellent beachstay at Mombasa, Malindi, Watamu, Lamu (Kenya) or Zanzibar (Tanzania) - or farther afield to Mauritius or Seychelles Islands.
