08 Days / 07 Nights Safari

This one week safari offers you the four ‘must visit’ of Kenya’s best game viewing areas – Aberdares/Mount Kenya – teeming with forest animals and birds, Samburu – the frontier reserve with most unique game, Lake Nakuru, an ornithologist and game viewing paradise - and the jewel in the crown, Maasai Mara, arguably the best game viewing spot in the world - and one of the seven wonders of the new world. The sceneries through Kenyan Highlands, northern semi-arid land, the Rift Valley and Maasai plains are as varied as any in the world.

Day 01 NAIROBI
Met on arrival at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta Airport and transferred to your Nairobi Hotel. Day at leisure for optional activities. Overnight at your Nairobi Hotel.

Day 02 NAIROBI - SWEETWATERS
After breakfast, commence safari driving north to Central Kenya, for an overnight at a treehotel in a forest. Lunch and dinner are included.  All the 03 treehotels, Ark and Treetops (in Aberdares Park) and Mountain Serena Lodge (in Mount Kenya Park) overlook a water hole and saltlick, offering unique game viewing from the Lodge decks.

Day 03 SWEETWATERS - SAMBURU
After breakfast, continue further north crossing the equator to reach the semi-arid  Samburu National Reserve. Enjoy a game viewing drive later this afternoon. Lunch, dinner and overnight at a Camp / Lodge.

Day 04 SAMBURU
Dawn and late afternoon game drives. All meals and overnight at the Camp or Lodge.

Day 05 SAMBURU - LAKE NAKURU
After breakfast, drive back towards the Aberdares and then westwards past Nyahururu's Thompson Falls and into the Rift Valley, to Lake Nakuru National Park (5 hours). Bird watching and game viewing drive in the late afternoon. Lunch, dinner and overnight at a Lodge / Camp.

Day 06 LAKE NAKURU - MAASAI MARA
After breakfast, continue journey, heading south west, leaving the great Rift Valley past Narok to Masai Mara Game reserve. Afternoon game drive. Lunch, dinner and overnight at a Camp / Lodge.

Day 07 MAASAI MARA
Dawn and late afternoon game drives.  All meals and overnight at Camp / Lodge.

Day 08 MAASAI MARA - NAIROBI
Morning embark on your return journey to Nairobi. Board your afternoon or evening internatinal flight out or extend game safari or visit our warm Indian Ocean coast for a beach holiday.
